Starting New

What’s happening this month? For this issue? Well I’ll explain and show you various ways I get my ideas together while focusing on detail more. Where to start?

After finishing issue #1 I immediately started working on this issue with various ideas in mind. The theme for this particular issue was disconnection and distortion. I thought of television being a factor for driving this inspiration forward in clever ways. The televisions used for this inspiration are the ones I used to frequently to watch t.v. growing up. There were no flat screens or smart tvs that everyone owns today so the t.v. set itself was extra heavy to lift and thick to the touch. I wanted to also play with the look of distortion or static on television screens when the t.v. blinks out. Through this issue there will be little traces of this throughout.

The issues moving forward will have a prominent theme for art pieces but when I’m writing about my week(s) or month, I will reference more of everything leading to me sharing some insight. This will change over various issues moving forward as I hate telling the same story twice unnecessarily.

I’m now off to finish up more pieces for the issue coming at the end of this month. I’ll be keeping you posted on my daily activities leading to the latest release.
